Pennsylvania Tea Party

Mike Said:

Which state do you think was more important?

We Answered:

I agree with you. Massachusetts saw more actual events dealing with the war than pennsylvania. Boston was the birthplace of revolution. Philadelphia was the meeting place of colonists more for its central location to all the colonies. Just remember, the declaration could have happened anywhere, but Bunker Hill happened there for a very good and specific region. The Brits wanted to shut the Bostonians up and quell the revolution right then and there!

Wendy Said:

Is Joe the Plumber part of the Tea Party? He now opposes Palin & McCain? 10 points?

We Answered:

Yes -- here's WIKI information (documented) as far as the Michigan Tea Party meeting:

On April 15, he spoke at the Michigan Tax Day Tea Party in Lansing.[63] On May 6, 2009, Wurzelbacher appeared at a campaign event on behalf of New Jersey Gubernatorial Candidate Steve Lonegan.[64] In May 2009, Time magazine reported that Wurzelbacher was quitting the Republican Party.[65] On September 19 he spoke at a Tea Party protest at Veteran's Park in Milwaukee.[66]

On February 13, 2010 Wurzelbacher attended a political event for Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate, Sam Rohrer. Speaking to a reporter afterwards, Wurzelbacher said that "McCain was trying to use [him]", and accused McCain of having "really screwed [Wurzelbacher's] life up".[

Poll: Are you going to be sending a tea bag to DC?

We Answered:

Katrina Said:

I am looking for anyone related to the Grant family in Amarillo TX.?

We Answered:

The best info/advice that I have for you, is to turn the direction of your research around. In other words.. you "work" the most recent first (ie those in Amarillo, or Texas.. who you can PROVE to be related). Your wording on the family lore leads me to think that the tradition as such starts with what they believe to be the origin in Scotland. The standard operating procedure works from present back.. each generation that you work back, you define the exact ancestor, and who his/her children, siblings and parents were.
At the point in time where you have worked back 3 or 4 generations, and are familiar with specific names and locations, you can drop by one of several surname focus boards (like www.genforum.com). Each generation back increases the numerical odds of stumbling onto related persons, who might have solid records to share with you. Also, when you have documented names and places back in the 1700's or 1800's, you stand a much better chance to then pull up a file concerning Ulysses's lineage and relatives... to see if you have a relative in common.

In the pennsylvania Democrat Primary, why did Sestak defeat Arlen Specter?

We Answered:

One factor to consider is that Senator Specter elected to use Swift Voting tactics, and carry over from the days of his Republican affiliation. Voters have been known to be turned off by such methods.

Secondly; Sestak proved to be more Democratic in philosophy than Specter. In the sense proving to listen to the constituents and promoting a local campaign verses the national party platform. Voters are not too happy currently with the Washington Insider playbook.

Thirdly; Sestak's campaign manager did an excellent job with the commercials broadcast showing who Specter was for the last couple of decades and connecting Specter to Bush hugging and shaking hands.
