I don't know if you care for this idea, but a thrift store, a goodwill store, antique store is a good place to look for silver settings and china. Don't forget the Scones. Have fun at your party.

Fashion Designing Party or Runway Fashion Party

My daughter, Josie, had her 15th birthday party last summer. She had a fashion designing party. We made the invitations on the computer. We made stationary that said Josie Style in hot pink. We pretended that we, Josie Style, were a clothes company and that we were going to launch a new line of clothing. We said we needed our guests, Josie Style top designers, to help design it. We sent the invitations to 20 girls. We held the party outside on our large patio. We wanted it to be like a real fashion company so we had an area/ office for every guest, each office should have a hot glue gun, a pencil, a pair of scissors and a sketch pad. We had a table that had all kinds of supplies like sequins, fabric markers, sharpies, puff balls, glitter glue, etc. There should be another table with makeup, compact mirrors, hair brushes, and hair accessories. There should also be some kind of runway. We have a covered mini bar on our patio and next to it there is an eating table with chairs. We will have a new line success party? in that area. Josie waited until all the guests arrived before we said the challenge. Josie, their boss, said that each guest would get a white tank top dress, make sure you get the right sizes. They would draw a sketch of it before they started gluing. Then when they are done they get dressed in the dress, put on makeup, do their hair and stand near the runway. Separate the girls into two groups and pick one group to go model first. Give the audience disposable cameras and tell them to take pictures like paparazzi. Then do the same to the next group. When everyone has finished it is time for the new line success party. Have sparkling drinks in plastic champagne cups and have them laid out on the mini bar counter. Have the girls eat pizza- its fine. We got an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins and put Josie Style? logo on the cake. The favors were the outfits, the hairbrush they used, some type of makeup and we made cute business cards that had the Josie Style logo on it and on the back it said thank you for coming to Josie 15th birthday party?.

Starbucks and most coffee places sale coffee in a cardboard box that serves 8-10. Yes they cater with muffins, danishes, biscotti, fruit etc-check the location.
Some other places that do

Check with local bakeries who also will make tea sandwiches, tea cakes, petit fours, mini eclairs and alot of them also can supply coffee. Bear Rock Cafe is also a great caterer for coffee and sweets.

You can buy pump urns to put the coffee in- I bought some from Linens and Things-I use them for author events or when I pass out food to the homeless. They will keep the coffee warm for hours. Target also sells them.

why do you have to give a speech? is the tea party for a benefit or charity?thank everyone for coming and for their donations.don't copy anyone else's speech be yourself. you can do it! in that case just make sure that all your guest feel welcome and loved. that will mean more to them than hearing a speech.tell you are so blessed to have such great friends and family. keep it simple

I believe most have libertarian (true liberal, not socialist policies relabeled) attitudes. The Libertarian Party already has candidates. Many "tea baggers" are registered Republican because they see the Libertarian Party is going nowhere because too many controlling that party are rigid "fundamentalists" who turn off mainstream voters.

True liberalism advocates: individual freedom, weak government, and free markets. Conservatism advocates: moral responsibility, strong government, and protected markets. Socialism advocates: social responsibility, omnipresent government, and controlled markets.
