Republican Tea Party Movement

Amy Said:

Do you think the Tea Party movement has made the Republican Party and the Democrat Party stronger or weaker?

We Answered:

Interesting question.
In the end, my wish as a person who has gone to a tea party is that is makes our country stronger, not one of the parties. I have to say that the misconception is that it has made the republicans stronger, but if you delve deeper, it may actually have an effect on both parties.
It's something for each party to sit up and take notice of when over a million people converge on Washington and on that same day hundreds of thousands meet in cities all over this country. The message is mixed, but for the most part these people were peaceful, well mannered and left the location cleaner than it was then they first arrived. Tea Parties in my home state ask you to bring canned goods for local food panties when you come. We say the pledge of allegiance, we offer up a prayer and we sing The Star Spangled Banner. We have signs and speakers and we talk about our constitution and what we want this country to be like.
It's not about a political party and there is nothing racist whatsoever going on.
It's also about overspending. It's about cleaning up our government and having honesty as well as fiscal responsibility. It's about not bailing out and it's about taking care of your own. But it is not about greed and being unkind. If people need a hand, it's about giving them a hand up vs. a hand out.
I hope and pray that each party looks at what has led to this movement. I don't truly see that it is a protest about Democrats, it's more about big government. However, if the Democrats foster big government, then it is about them if they choose to be that stupid.
Hope that makes sense. : )

Grace Said:

Is the tea party movement going to split the republican party and guarantee reelection for Obama?

We Answered:

of course not.

Lloyd Said:

Will the tea party movement be the end of the Republican party?

We Answered:

I'm hoping it will be a wake up call that we're tired of Big Red and Big Blue telling us what's best for us. I've mostly voted Dem since George W took office (Rep before that) and I'm getting tired of both sides. If it's not surveillance, it's taxes. I know I could do 10x better with my tax money then the feds are.

More state rights are needed.

Gail Said:

What percentage of the Tea Party Movement is Republican?

We Answered:

Upon it's inception; probably about 15-20%...

If you remember, it was the Ron Paul libertarians who sparked the movement back in 2007: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKZmIzEMU…

Then the GOP (after failing miserably in '08) saw how there were more TEA Party supporters than there were GOP supporters, so they claimed it as their 'own movement' ... http://rawstory.com/2010/02/paul-caution…

The hijacking of the TEA Party by the GOP is all too evident: http://washingtonindependent.com/76049/t… ...now the TEA Party is attacking Ron Paul (the inspiration behind the modern day TEA Party).

WHO ARE THE TEA PARTY HIJACKERS??? ....Here ya go... http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-a…

...All claim to be "true freedom-loving conservatives" when every damn one of them are big government neocons who despised and slandered Ron Paul throughout the '08 Presidential Primaries. Yet, now they lay claim to be the leaders of the very movement Ron Paul can be accredited for.

Now, to answer your question, it's about 80% -- the rest being strict libertarians who, albeit conservative, won't associate with the Republican Party.

Lena Said:

Do you think the Tea Party movement will steal republican votes in the upcoming election?

We Answered:

No- they know it will only insure a Commie I mean a Democrat back into office. We will force the Republican party to tow the line!

Kenneth Said:

Was Rep. Bachmann correct that Republican Party & Tea Party movement are in the process of merging?

We Answered:

Thumbs down after I provide proof? Haha, Liberals are funny. Keep on dreaming. The TEA Party isn't going anywhere for a while.
