Where would be a good place in Tacoma/ Olympia, WA area to have a 6yr old bday tea party birthday? We Answered:
Here are a ton of ideas for doing tea parties at home:http://www.birthdaypartyideas.com/html/t…
You might also try reaching out to Party People, Inc.: http://seattle.citysearch.com/profile/44…
They advertise that they throw tea (and other themed) parties, though I have no personal experience with them.

Where to get tea cups for birthday party? We Answered:
Hi,I also gave my daughter a tea party for her 5th birthday!
Because I didn't want to spend gobs of money on special tea sets, and I didn't want to worry about my things getting broken, I bought a couple sets of china at some local thrift stores. I got one set that had a full service for 8 including dinner plates and serving bowls and platters for under $20. I also bought several other cup and saucer sets that only had 2 or 3 in the sets. Teapots abound also in these types of second hand stores, flee markets and yard sales.
I then didn't care if something was dropped, mixing and matching the china was fun and the girls felt extra, extra special using real china!
If you don't want to buy the china, you might consider hostessing a 'bring your favorite tea cup' party.

What kind of cake can I have for a tea party themed birthday? We Answered:
What about a lemon cake? I don't think anything with heavy frosting would be appropriate for a tea party, so think light, and some-what adult tasting. So for decorations and colors:
(on the cake)
It's a lemon cake... so a nice light yellow color will do.
And normal decorations:
Think light colors
Light yellows, Light Pinks, Lavender, White colors. Stick with happy, light colors.
Good luck (:
FLOWERS ARE A MUST (: DECORATE THE WHOLE ROOM OR AREA THE PARTY WILL BE AT WITH FLOOWEERRRSS (: It will make everything smell good, and look all fancy. GOOD LUCK! Have fun! I've always wanted a tea party...

Any ides on what to serve at a Princess tea Party themed birthday for a six year old?We Answered:
I also would think that ice teas and lemonades would be better than hot tea.I'd get a few small cookie cutters in heart or star or other "girly" shapes, and make sandwiches, then cut the sandwiches with the cookie cutter. Like heart shaped turkey and cheese or whatever they like. Little finger sandwiches.
Get a melon baller and make a "fancy" fruit salad. Watermelon and other melons are cheap and in season now in most of the country.
Make tiny cupcakes, and other small pastries. Serve jello cubes and whipped cream or pudding and whipped cream in pretty sundae cups.

Tea party birthday for a teenager, ideas? We Answered:
A buffet with non alcoholic cocktails, pictures of their favourite pin-ups suspended from the ceiling, space for dancing and some good sounds, invitations could be sent by post, what a suprise to recieve an envelope with a stamp on it and addressed to you is so much more personel than a text or e-mail. good luck.Cynthia Said:
Party favours for a birthday tea party? We Answered:
The new silk tea bags are so cute... also, go to an Asian market and look if the have decorated sugar cubes. You can also find the new tea flower balls that bloom in hot water, COST PLUS...If you want to sew, think about a large tea cup with a flower in it... made from felt, its cheap and very easy to sew, make it large enough to use as a mat.Good luckAnne Said:
What food should I serve at my daughter's birthday tea party? We Answered:
If you have a Sam's, you can find "Petit Fours" which are little cakes that are very elegantly decorated. Also, they have "Pinwheels" which are sandwiches made on tortillas, rolled and sliced - also very attractive. You can also have mini-quiche if they're not too picky! Ham and cheese is usually a winner for younger kiddos. All of these suggestions are "kid size" and nice to look at and not very messy.Try a fruit tray or cheese and cracker trays. Those have been big hits at my daugther's parties. (So have the little cocktail sausages!)
How about cookies shaped like tea pots and cups & saucers with sugar sprinkles?
"Shaped" foods and "pretty" foods often give the impression that more time has been spent preparing the items, which is not always the case!
Let me keep thinking and I'm sure I can come up with something more!
Oh! If you can find a "Cut and Seal" you can make homemade sandwiches that have the meat sealed on the inside. Almost like a big ravioli! The one I have is from Pampered Chef, but any specialty store should have one. Here's a link to what it looks like: http://img.epinions.com/images/opti/2b/5…
