Tea Party Bridal Shower

Jaime Said:

I am having a "tea party" bridal shower and have made homemade strawberry jam as gifts. I need a cute quote

Sealed with a kiss.

What do you wear to a Bridal shower Tea party?

We Answered:

A pretty dress or skirt and sweater twinset in light or bright colors--something that you might wear to church our out to dinner-would be appropriate. No sequins or cocktail/clubbing wear would be appropriate. You don't have to wear a hat unless the hostess has asked guests to wear one as part of the tea party theme. Nice dress slacks with a pretty top and nice shoes can also work but no jeans or flip-flops or tennies.

Tea-Party Bridal Shower Game Ideas!?

We Answered:

The easiest shower game on earth is Bridal Shower Bingo.

Create your own bingo card - (you can substitute the worde "Bride" if youy want to) - but make the basic 5 x 5 grid. In the center (the "free" square), put the couple's name & wedding date.

The guests receive the cards as they arrive and are to fill in the squares with what they think the bride will receive. They may include their gift, and they may ask other guests (it also gets the guests mingling!).

Then, as the bride opens gifts, the guests mark off the squares they got right. The nice thing is you can have multiple winners at this one, it keeps them busy before the shower starts, but it's not a huge "time waster" (as shower games can be!). Hope this helps!

Where is a good nice place not to expensive to have a bridal shower TEA party in Houston, tx?

We Answered:

There is a place called Cullen's in Houston (Clear Lake Area). Not sure if that is too far from you, but it would be a great place for a bridal shower tea party. My wife's friend had a bridal tea party there and said it was very affordable for what she got.

It is a more upscale restaurant, but the pricing for the tea was fairly decent according to her. You would need to work with one of their planners, but she had nothing but good things to say about it.

Ideas needed for a Tea party bridal shower?

We Answered:

Use small round tables. Cover in white tablecloths and a layer of tulle in the one of the bride's colors. Collect teapots and cup and saucer sets (which can be then given as favors). You can find lovely sets at your local antique store, and are usually quite reasonable. Use silver sugar bowls, creamers and silverware. For the table centerpieces, create several small bouquets using pink roses, rosebuds and ferns.
Make them flat on one side for laying on table.
Tie stems together with dark green silk ribbon and mist lightly. Place in refrigerator until ready to decorate table. Fold napkins and tie with a green silk ribbon and tuck a pink rose into each.

Make up a menu and print it out on pretty paper and don’t forget to keep it authentic, no paper plates or cups! Enlist the help of friends and have them each bring a delectable selection of cookies. If you really want to be authentic, visit one of the many online suppliers of British foods, and add genuine English clotted cream to have with your scones. A typical selection would be cucumber, smoked salmon, egg salad and watercress finger sandwiches; followed by scones with jam & cream, with chocolate digestives, custard creams and shortbread, all available online. Cakes are usually of the ‘sponge’ variety (similar to pound cake), cut in half and filled with strawberries and cream. Make sure to keep refilling those teapots with boiling water and allow a few minutes for the tea to brew nicely.

I want to paint tea cups for a tea party bridal shower I am hosting. What kind of paint should I use.?

We Answered:

If you go to a craft store, there is special paint for glasswear. You paint it on, and then it goes into a very low oven to set the paint. That will make it stay on when it gets washed (and it's non-toxic)

Discuss It!
