tea party would like some ideas.....?

We Answered:

A tea party is a great party theme! Wonderful Idea.
I actually just attended my friend's daughters 5th birthday with my oldest daughter, and she had a tea party to resemble the English style High Tea. She made the food all about presentation. She had a couple plates of finger sandwiches in the middle of the table with the sandwiches arranged nicely in a circle on the plates. Then she had another couple plates of scones served with jam and tea. She also had another plate of pastries on the table of small frosted cookies and other homemade sweets (nothing messy, all finger foods). Lastly, instead of cake she served strawberry shortcake to the girls to stay in style with the tea party. However, instead of actually tea she served iced tea just as real tea would be served. I don't think real tea would appeal to a child's appetite although it may, lol. Good luck, have fun with it!

Ideas on a tea party like thing for school?

We Answered:

if you want to use playing cards for place-cards or invites or something, you could cut out big pocket watches for place mats or decorate the cookies like clocks...I haven't seen the movie in such a long time it's hard to remember! but it looks like you have alot of ideas

I am thinking about throwing a lovely Tea Party with very important guests any ideas?

We Answered:

don't forget to bake your famous blueberry scones top with cream & jam. that shd keep all their stomach full & their mouth stuffed to prevent any stray verbal unrest in the party.
