It's about time that the American people knew that the "Tea Party" is not about Republican vs Demorcrat but the Americans getting their rights back and not letting government spend, spend, spend. Everyone seems to think that this is a libertarian/republican thing when in fact there are democrats in it.

It is about not letting government tax us to death whether it be health care, carbon tax, tax after you blink your eyes 50 times per day or whatever they want to hit us with. Where I'm from, they want to add an additional tax on the tickets you buy at our local amusement park. Huh? WTF? What's up with that? I'm sure Dems don't want to pay that extra tax too.

I'm glad you put this up here so people will know the truth. It is sad that the good ol' US media can't do it or it was in some local yocal newspaper where it really didn't matter.

Its about the media needing a story, and normalcy isn't a story.
The whole tea party thing was mercilessly pushed by Fox and then they complained that the regular news crews weren't on the story, that the amount of people there was less than most apartment buildings in New York have occupants wasn't supposed to matter.
So they cover it, and let them after seeing that poor confused 99.99% white and elderly convention let them know what that movement is made up of, it might clarify the situation for someone considering joining them.

A while back they tried a march on washington...and no one turned up.

Then they tried meetings in town halls...and no one turned up.

Then they thought they'd have a national convention so all the disparate elements could come under one roof - creationists, racists, birthers, Obama haters etc. Just think - one bomb, earthquake, tsumani could have set back fascism in America for years.

Wht did Sarah Palin sperak...she got paid $100,000 and it got her a lot of publicity, I dare say she flogged a few more copies of her book to the gullible masses.

The right like to point out that she "donated" her fee to the cause, but if so, why accept it in the first place?
