My cousin bought mix-match teacups & saucers at thrift stores and garage sales. That's an idea.

She also had Victorian like hat's for the ladies (she bought used ones and add lace, feather, etc. to make them look Victorian).

Deck of cards for place sittings or use them in cupcakes (glue toothpicks on the cards to hold them up).

Towards the bottom of this site, there are pictures to a Alice in Wonderland theme birthday party for a 5 year old. Great ideas and the pictures are just wonderful.

Alice in Wonderland/Tea party for my birthday, any suggestions?

We Answered:

The one thing you don't want to do like the Mad Tea Party is change places. Remember that when the Hatter spills tea all over his place, he moves up one and everyone else has to follow to some else's mess.
But it could be fun. Read the book for ideas!

Debra Said:

What Christmas decorations should I have for a Ladies Tea Party?

We Answered:

Use large pine cones as place card holders at each place setting. Or use Christmas cards as place cards. Make old time spice balls for decoration. Start with a large orange and use an ice pick to stick holes in the orange, push whole cloves into the holes. After the orange is covered with cloves wrap it in net or tulle and tie with a ribbon. these smell great and are a reminder of Christmas decorations from the past.

Help planning cheery summer tea party?

We Answered:

Throw a lot of cute beach balls in the pool and have some fun pool games to play... available at pinch-a-penny.. You can even get some pretty fabric flowers and float them in the water...

Since it is summer theme.. Grab some cheap little clay pots from a garden center and buy some flower seeds... you and your friends can plant some flower seeds and decorate pots for memories of the occasion!

Butterfly, Flower, Sun piñatas... with cool... age appropriate candies/toys inside..

I need ideas(visuals for a 1940s womens christmas style tea party. I need decorations & food. Pls help!?

We Answered:

You can usually go to a community thrift store and find single cups/saucers for a reasonable price.

I would have a variety of finger sandwiches and a cookie sampler...
