My wedding party and mother wore tea length dresses, I wore a full length and my MIL wore a full length. Honestly, I really don't think it matters...I just wanted everyone to be comfortable. My mom has great legs so she wanted to show them off...my MIL on the other hand is very conservative and felt more comfortable in a long gown. Personally,I don't think that the moms have to match the bridal party.
