The best solution would be to stick to it's mission. That is the best I can give you because, to be honest, I don't really agree with your problem section. While I do understand you are writing a paper, I hope you will do further research on the Party and not just write them off as "a radical arm of the Republican Party" and "misguided into thinking that they are fighting to take back America." I realize there are some extreme right wingers calling themselves Tea Partiers, but every group has it's radicals. Take care....

In other words, the Democrat that he's not running against had more votes than he did.

As far as the ratio goes, President Obama can do so much. The candidates themselves must do the bulk of the work to get themselves elected. Additionally, they can have no baggage.
