Tea Party Favors Ideas

Terrence Said:

I am having a party for two 8 year old girls HELP!!?

We Answered:

I've read some of the answers, and they sound good, another thing you might consider is doing something like making cards for thier mothers that are in the hospital. That way, when they go to visit them again, they can give their mothers something from their day with you as well.

What are some good ideas for an Alice in Wonderland 13th birthday party?

We Answered:

I did a little google search and they have a "Birthday in a Box" for your Alice in Wonderland theme: http://www.birthdayinabox.com/party-idea…

There's also this website: http://www.alice-in-wonderland.net/mad-t…

But it already sounds like you have great ideas for your party. I would have everyone dress up as a character in "Alice in Wonderland" just to keep up with the theme of the party and to match your decorations. If possible, you can have everyone pick the character that they want to be and make sure that everyone is a different character. This will go with my party favor idea below.

Decorations/Location: If possible I think you should have your party outdoors and at night. You can decorate with colored lights to keep the dark/weird side of the movie. The signs that you entioned can be placed around the yard or even in the house.

Food: When I think tea party I think eating without utensils. So I would just keep it to finger foods. Mini cakes, cookies, mini-sandwiches, chicken wings, jalapeno poppers etc. Try to keep it as clean as possible otherwise your'e going to need a lot of napkins and wetnaps.

The drinks: sounds like you have it all under control. Having the cups or even the bottles of beverages say "Drink Me" is very cute.

Games: Pin the smile on the cheshire cat, pin the tail on the white rabbit, musical chairs to the "Un-Birthday Song" or even the soundtrack, and hey maybe even croquet. Since everyone's in costume you can even do a costume contest.

Party Favors... I'm thinking maybe a colorful little box with a bow on it. The tag will say, "To: Bill the Lizard, From: Alice" and inside will be cookies or a small cake that says "Eat Me/Thank You" on them. You could even have all hearts on it, and the gifts can look like they came from the Queen of Hearts. You can even do gift bags filled with playing cards, Gummy worms, Alice in Wonderland stickers and if you can swing it maybe a copy of the movie or even the book.

This sound slike such a fun party. Hope you have fun!!

If you are in the US, check out Target. They have this little dollar section in the front of the store that is full of cute things that girls love. Hello Kitty stationary, jewelry, scrapbooking supplies, etc.

Michael's-the craft store has bins full of things like this too.

I have two girls, 9 and 6. They love little notebooks, stickers, fancy pens, gummy bracelets, art supplies, cute stuffed animals, purses, scarves, earrings, head bands, sunglasses--- the dollar store might have some cute items also. They also love novelty candy, Baby Bottle Pops, cell phones filled with candy , stuff like that.

Girls are the best!

***I'd stay away from make-up and lotions, etc. Some moms may not allow their girls to have such things. Also, when you by such things from the dollar store the quality is really bad and there is a higher risk of allergic reaction. Just a suggestion.

My 14th birthday?? HELP! Party planning.?

We Answered:

Firstly I like the first/second choice of cakes (The first two are the same). What could go wrong with chocolate? But I know there are many that are allergic to coconut... Just remember to pick up some icecream! (Haha, this is my favorite part...)

The first 'after' option is better looking to me. (And sugar plums are so festive!)

For movie options, maybe you could just have all of your friends bring their favorite movies, this way you'll know they like it. Then you guys could just pop one in, and go from there. This is great if you are trying to stay up all night, because after a while someone is going to be tired.. (Like all of you) and watching a movie is great for that inbetween stage when you get tired. (Before you get hyper...)

Oh, and another fun thing to do is play truth and dare! That'll keep you up all night talking! =P

You should ask your mom if you can get some more. Or at least sparklers. Nothing is more fun than running around with all your friends and some sparklers.

The invites sound fine. You should go to a party store or something, and try to pick some up there (soon, so if you don't see something you like, you still have options)... If you don't see exactly what you are looking for why not create some with Microsoft Word, or Publisher?

Overall it sounds like a great party, and very sophisticated. Just remember to go with the flow. Not everything is going to turn out perfect, but you just need to go with it, and it'll probably turn out just fine.

Discuss It!
