Ah, the scent of corporate dominance in Washington...really gets the heart stirring, doesn't it. It's sickening to see how deeply entrenched corporate America (and other multinational corporations) have become in our nation's politics. I've been saying it over and over again: the role of the state (government) isn't to support and essentially bankroll the greed and waste of the upper class; it's role is to serve the interests and needs of the populace. In the ideal democratic society, the people would own and operate production and manufacturing; virtually everything pertaining to the economy. Likewise, the state would be subjected to the overwhelming numbers of the working peoples - meaning it would have to heed and service the wants of the citizenry. Unfortunately, America is not the ideal democracy (and most people would be quick to point out we're a republic), therefore corporate greed runs rampant and the politicians are naught but empty suits rubber-stamping the end of workers' rights in favor of corporate wealth. But don't rile up the conservatives; as long as they have their endless supply of strawberries in the winter and their flat-screens, Capitalism is and remains a god-send.

And, yes, those folks in the picture are rather ridiculous. Socialism? Please, we're headed in the exact opposite direction! These people have been whipped up into a frenzy over nothing, and have the bourgeois laughing all the way to the bank because of it.

People don't understand the "Tea Party". They think its some group of nut jobs who decided to be an anti-government and aligned themselves with the tea party name from the anti-tax revolt by Boston against the British, and dumping tea at sea. Ask many what the Tea in Tea Party stands for and they would not know what to say. The anti-tax sentiment of the Tea Party people will just grow as time goes by since we are enlightened everyday on how corrupt and wasteful the many government agencies and the government as a whole is as it adds more to the debt. All members of the Tea Party, party gets its funding from anyone who are fed up of the waste of government and volunteers their time and money to the cause.

This all just crystallized for me.

The Koch brothers were the ones who funded the Citizen's United case about the Hillary Clinton movie that went to the US Supreme Court.

The court split along party lines (5 conservatives, 4 liberals) to allow corporations to give unlimited donations to political ad campaigns.

The Koch brothers then poured billions of dollars into funding the Tea Party movement and backing conservative candidates which led to the Republican takeover of the house.

Those devious bastards bought the election!
