I went to an amazing tea party a couple of years ago. It was held by a friend of mine as a farewell party for a mutual; friend.. The guests were all aged in their 20's and 30's. It was one of the best parties I've ever been to. Here are some of the things my friend did, hope they inspire you :)

* The theme of the party was " Handbags, High-Heels and Handcuffs" . The guests had to be wearing or carrying at least one of these things before they were allowed entry.

* The food was simple but done with a bit of flair, for example sandwiches made with white and brown bread and cut into finger sandwiches, fillings included smoked salmon, watercress, turkey , brie and cranberry.

* Beautifully iced cupcakes displayed on a stand

* A selection of hot and iced teas (that pomegranate tea of yours sounds yummy!)

* Miniature cookies (like you're doing) and mini blueberry muffins.

tea party hats!!! you know the large straw garden type hat, you can all decorate your own hat, with ribbons, and fake flowers :) and tea party dresses. chocolate covered strawberries, scones, little sandwiches with the crust cut off. we did a tea party for my friend's bridal shower. it was great!

If some of the hellfire club (fundies) are right the vast majority of people on earth will burn anyway, including billions of Christians that are guilty of either being sympathetic to other humans or misinterpreting the scriptures. Start your search now for pretty tea cups at places like Goodwill. They all don't have to match each other ( the saucer though must match the tea cup ) If you are serving a special blend of tea, I can give you a site that has free printable tea bag envelopes ( that you can customize ), to send home with the guests as favors.
