does this sound like funnn for a party? We Answered:
Sounds great! Maybe you could pick an unusual colour theme eg. lime, hot pink, electric blue combo and decorate in those colours. Have a great night!Alvin Said:

My girls used to love spending a day in our flannel pj's doing facials, pedicures, manicures, rollers in our hair, cotton between our toes, music, and laughter.another idea is get out those old boxes of pictures take a few new ones and spend some time together making scrap books. Its also exiting (if the younger ones are not too young,] To do some research and put together an ancestry book, Compare yourselves to your long lost relatives. hope this helps have fun, enjoy each other, I love that you are doing thisDon Said:
10 POINTS: What do you think of the beginning of my story? We Answered:
1) I don't care AT ALL about your character's thoughts on Alice in Wonderland. Your beginning has utterly failed to engage me. This monologue might be cute spoken, but written, it's just plain boring. If it has any merit at all, you need to separate paragraphs, because this giant block of text about a topic I don't care at all about is unnecessarily daunting, and, however funny or witty it might be, I'm not going to get past the third sentence.2) You're trying WAY too hard to sound British. For God's sake, why don't you just tell us everything's a "bit of a sticky wicket" while you're at it? "I extremely enjoy the company of a cup of tea"? The Brits don't talk like that, and, in fact, nobody talks like that. "I immensely enjoy a cup of tea" would suit you better. "It makes me feel like my presence is among"...once again, NOBODY talks like that except Americans trying to sound properly British: "It makes me feel like I am in England"
3) Not going to edit the rest of prose of the first paragraph, because, once again, I DON'T CARE about your character's thoughts on Alice in Wonderland, especially when they go on for half a page.
4) Tiny and little mean the exact same thing, so drop one--"The redhead girl said to her tiny roommate"
5) Dialog is formatted like this:
"Hi," said Joe as he ran a hand through his hair. "It's a nice day, isn't it?"
Melanie gazed up at the sky absently and retied the strings on her sun hat. "Oh yes, certainly."
Every time there is a new speaker, there is a new paragraph. And after that speaker's comments and actions have been explained, there is again a new paragraph. So for you, after Melodie says "Hey, come on hipster...", you need a new paragraph to talk about Skye and a new paragraph when Skye begins talking.
6) You're bringing in the narrator sounds very forced. Especially when you actually identify yourself as the narrator, and tell us you didn't know something. First of all that doesn't make sense. You're telling the story, so OF COURSE YOU KNOW! I'd be more inclined to believe that you didn't know, but the passage is written in past tense, while the narrator's part is in present. Thus, you're currently watching something that happened in the past? Really? How?

ideas for a old fasion/formal sweet 16 partyy?We Answered:
Dear Sweet 16!Congratulations! 16 is a good year.
If you're looking for an old fashioned theme, I would suggest several things.
You have 30 people attending. Finger foods are always a delight. They can eat as much or as long as they like with breaks. In old times they would serve tuna or cucumber sandwiches, cut and a toothpick with an green olive on top or you could go with deli meat in the same fashion with a leafy garnish on top. Corn fritters, a vegetable platter with dip and even sauted mushrooms on a stick. Finger foods are always a hit and they are easily replenished as the night goes on. Check out finger foods online. There are so many to choose from. Any punch will do and you can spice it up by adding fresh fruit to the bowl.
If you are looking for a more traditional meal setting...Sliced turkey with yams, pumpkin bread, glazed carrots, a tossed salad with a lemon marinated dressing and a cream puff for the sweet. You should serve a slush punch with this meal. This all goes with your theme.
Tea was always served along with punch back then. A good tea is cinnamon/lemon.
Pink is a great color and very fitting. I like your idea for the banisters.
Games: In the type of setting that you described, word games fit right in. You could play "What If" example: What if you were stuck in an elevator with three other people, one was injured from a short fall, one was hysterical and the last, a guy that you have been wanting to date. What would be your first course of action and why? This game is a lot of fun and builds character. You never know the wacky things that people can come up with until you play this game. Take a bowl and put at least 20 questions in it before hand. Hand out a small piece of the same paper and a pen to your guests. Explain the concept and have each of them write a "What If" question of their own and mix it into the bowl. This makes the game more interesting and your guests will like being asked to participate even in the questions.
Party favors are required but, can be done resonably too! You want to give them something that reminds them of this wonderful night in the future. Think of your theme! Go to any craft store such as Hobby Lobby. Ex: Pick out small boxes of all shapes. They have all kinds of decorations that you can put on them to create fancy memories. Think of your guests as you make each one and tailor them to each persons personality. Your guests will be thrilled that you took the time and attention to make such a gift so personal! You can even put something small in the boxes as a keepsake treasure. Ex: On your computer, print out old wise sayings or type out sayings that you think fits the individual. Print it on a pink parchment paper. Cut it out but, leave some room to burn the edges to make it look old. Roll up the saying and tie it with a light pink ribbon. Place it in the box. Voila, a treasure.
Try to find some songs from the 20's, 30's and 40's and play them in the background softly. It will keep the theme going all night. You can even find these on CD at places like best buy or any record store. If you can find a record player, that would be great!
I'm so glad your sisters are helping you with this. Sounds like you will need to do something special for them too. A great big old fashioned hug goes a long way.
I hope this helps and if you need anything else, just email me!
