Tea Party Ideals

Ella Said:

If I agree with the TEA Parties ideals, but not their way of promoting them, is my criticism of them valid?

We Answered:

Yes, if you have a better way of expressing displeasure of high taxes and too much government.

Lois Said:

What are the ideals of the Tea Party?

We Answered:

The Tea Party is basically a group of people who oppose high taxes and out of control spending. Don't listen to the morons who are calling them racist.

Ivan Said:

I have to write a paper on how The Dukes of Hazzard embodies the ideals of the Tea Party Patriots. Can anyone?

We Answered:

I am assuming your teacher has made the assignment.

The first base line to establish is the Tea Party. It is a grass roots movement expressing their first amendment rights to the government for fiscal responsibility. Another portion of that base line is the members are not racist and the are law abiding citizens. The second base line is the sitcom. The show portrays two young fellows who continually break the law, primarily on the roads. The second is great disrespect to law enforcement. from this premise, there isn't any connection between the Tea Party and the sitcom because the Tea Party is composed of law abiding citizens..

There is one aspect that could be interpreted as the tea party embodying that sitcom. The corrupt and irresponsible law enforcement in Hazard County could be interpreted as the corrupt and irresponsible Washington elite. And the Tea party protesters are the Duke boys who rile up the elite trying to obtain justice for their county.

Paul Said:

What are the main points/ideals supported by the Tea Party?

We Answered:

The Tea Party movement gets it's name from the Boston Tea Party tax revolt. Therefore they are all about tax reform, less government spending and more individual liberty. Being that they are not a centrally organized group they are more of a grassroots movement. Therefore you have two things happening here. First you have citizens with genuine concern about the direction the country is going in based upon not just the current administration but the previous one as well. They represent a third party option of sorts. Secondly you have disgruntled people that feel they are losing the traditional Americana culture of right wing Christian white privilege. They feel conservative Republicans have sold out and don't speak for them and they never have aligned themselves with liberals. Therefore to express their displeasure they will compare the President to some of the most infamous people in history or show up to town hall meetings with shotguns. Because of these over zealous half wits the true message of the Tea Party is lost.

Chris Said:

Just what are the ideals of the Tea Party?

We Answered:

Glenn Beck is the biggest supporter of Tea Parties and organizes them on his show. People who are against Obama and defend Bush are too stupid to realize Beck puts Bush and Obama in the same category:
Beck said "It's about the years of lies from both parties — a Republican Party that claims to be for small government but gives us Medicare Part D that's got $17 trillion in unfunded liabilities. It's about hypocrisy — both parties claim to be the most ethical, but we get corruption and not one damn person in Washington to speak out against it. Bush and Obama spend or put us on the hook for $12.8 trillion, but I'm the extremist?

Wilma Said:

Why do more citizens consider the Tea Party movement a better representation of their political ideals than?

We Answered:

simply because they are not being represented

Kimberly Said:
