Tea Party Ideas For Kids

Kristin Said:

I'm having a tea party for my 6 year old's birthday.... I need ideas!!?

We Answered:

Hot potato-- have all the kids sit in a circle on the floor, and instead of passing a potato you will either use a red apple (Snow White) or you can spray paint it gold, or you can take an old strappy-sandal or high heeled shoe and spray paint it silver or gold (like in Cinderella) Don't forget freeze-dance! And musical chairs are always a favorite.

When I did my daughter's tea party, it was girls only and we pulled out a card table, put a pretty paper table cloth on and made a cupcake decorating table. I had baked the cupcakes ahead of time, then had different colors of frosting, and different shaped sprinkles and different colors and the kids had a ball decorating them. As long as everything isn't too girls and there are some masculine decorations and colors, the boys will like this too.

Birthday party ideas for 3 yr old girl in June?

We Answered:

do a beach party in the back yard instead. get a little kiddie pool, lay out some towels, pull out the sprinkler, etc. that way you don't have to worry about loosing anyone and it's easier to put together. Have markers/crayons/paint/chalk/paper/etc sitting on the patio/driveway/in the kitchen so the kids can wander in and do crafts when they feel like it. Since they're so young, have everything available to them at all times as you may find their short attention spans keep them wandering off. If little Susie starts to have a fit by the sprinkler, redirect her attention to the bean bag toss/ring toss/crafts/food/etc.

the only part everyone really needs to do together would be the cake/opening presents, although you may want to give the other kids their goody bags first so they don't get jealous of your daughter.
