Tea Party Invitations For Little Girls

Chad Said:

Parents Opinons Please?

We Answered:

No way would any of my kids (including my girls) choose any of the "girlie" themes for the party. Do keep in mind that up through kindergarten or so most parties tend to be for mixed genders.

Riding a horse would likely spark my kids' interests (ages 4-7 or so). Possibly the jungle theme or circus theme, too (maybe 4-6). My experience is that by first grade or so themed parties aren't really what my kids and their friends are looking for.

Typically (though there's a huge range, and it's not true for my kids, who are small for their age) kids wear the size that corresponds with their age (a 5-year-old would wear a 5, for example). You'd probably want to err on the side of being too big, though.

Victorian Theme Sweet Sixteen Party?

We Answered:

Hope these ideas help get you rolling...

Invitations: hand written letters, maybe parchment paper

Games: croquet?

Food: Scones or tea biscuits; you could also have different types of tea so the girls can choose their own (Not exactly apro po for the theme, but 16 year olds might think it cool.

Decorations: fresh flowers, antique pictures (or take baby pictures on up to 16 years old of the birthday girl and some with her with her friends, make them black and white or sepia, and frame them in vintage-looking frames. The copies of her with various friends could also be given at the end of the party to her friends, with the frame?) You could use a computer program for that, and crop so they are more like portraits.

Parents which would your kids pick?

We Answered:

I'm not a parent.. but I do know what I would have choose and what my younger siblings would choose.

Fairy and Mermaid anywhere from 2-6 years of age I would say.

Princess 3-8 years old.

Cowgirl 5-9 years old.

Safari 6-8 years old.

Carnival under 7.

And ever since I was about 8 and now till im 17 I still have a luau party every summer. I think Luau is pretty good for any age! =)

I wish you much success with your business! =)

Parents Need Opinions Party Themes?

We Answered:

Those sound good, but what about boy, or better yet, neutral themes? Also, I'd include some original themes that a parent couldn't get just anywhere. For instance, you could have a Camelot theme, in which kids (or "squires") could compete in "safe" jousting tournaments and other medieval games in order to complete their knight training. I know my preschooler would LOVE something like that! For dinosaurs, you could set up a mock archeology expedition, and have the kids dig in a big sandbox for fake bones that have to be assembled to build the dinosaur.
Your idea sounds great! If you were near me, I would definitely consider hiring you to help plan my son's parties. I wish you success with your new business.

From tea to rockstar???

We Answered:

I think that you need to relax. Everything will work out. You just give them a over-estimate, and then give them back any left over money when they get back. I think that they should all have different dresses, and I think that there are really cute ones at Macy's, or Yonkers'. I think that getting sizes is a good idea! I think that you are a great planner, and good luck with the party! I think that it will turn out great!
P.S. don't forget the little white gloves and fake purses!

Wish her a happy birthday!!!
