Tea Party Kansas

Clarence Said:

Why did the Tea Party Leader Take Down his Letter to Lincoln?

We Answered:

It seems like he goes where the wind blows. Wow a monkey GOD? That's really out there.

Tea party seems to be a bunch of Racists.

So Sad

Ana Said:

Have you read Mark Williams' (leader of the Tea Party Express) letter to Abraham Lincoln?

We Answered:

This guy is arguably the founder of the teabugger movement (whatever that means) so yeah, I kind of lean toward racist roots in the movement when I read crap like this. I do not know which is more embarrassing, the racism or the adolescent quality of the humor. What a loser.

P.S. Any chance you could lose that avatar? The thing is making me dizzy.

Tom Said:

So, the Tea Party isn't racist?

We Answered:

I really think they ought to change their name. They are desecrating the good name of the men who threw British tea into Boston Harbor.

I think we were all expecting a resurgence of racism in response to Barack Obama's election. It's just funny when they deny it.

Dennis Said:

Isn't it kind of ironic how the Tea Party used this letter to Lincoln to prove they aren't racist?

We Answered:

Oh well, do you know what will happen to Mr. Williams? If you've ever seen the movie "Little Nicky" there was a segment where they were torturing Hitler. Well the same fate awaits Mark Williams and Mel Gibson.

Juan Said:

Why is Michelle Obama and the NAACP lying about the TEA Party?

We Answered:

I've seen two Tea Party "gatherings" or whatever they're called.

I heard nothing race related, nor did I see anything race related. They weren't even all rowdy or violent in any way.

I have no idea what all the accusations are about.

Oddly enough, the only real hateful stuff I saw was from the "counter-protestors". They were beahaving like flustered children. In fact, they were the only ones being even remotely aggressive.

Arthur Said:

How can people say that the Tea Party is derailing the Republican's plan for November?

We Answered:

Because winning in a primary is different than winning in a general election. In a primary, the extremes get the votes of the party faithful. In a general however, the candidate has to appeal to independents and cross-over voters to win.

The Republican Party has about 1/3 of the electorate. If every Republican voted for the Republican Candidate and no one else voted for him/her, the candidate would lose. So the candidate has to appeal to independents and conservative Democrats in order to win. Moderate Republicans are more likely to vote for Democrats than to vote for Tea Party candidates, or to vote for no one. Thus Democrats win.
