I've always said that the Tea Party had been taken over within months after their first rally. Sarah Palin ever the vicious opportunist, and who'll let nothing get between herself and a five-dollar bill, knew that she'd never be nominated for Prez. She latched on to the Teaparty like a bedbug. She wants to play King/Queenmaker - but she doesn't have the brains to realize that she's hurting the conservatives by endorsing whachos and crooks, and has so far gotten her way much of the time.

People are seeing the teaparty for what it is - a front for the Republicans who have no workable policy of their own. The teaparty is simply a one dimensional, shallow version of the GOP. They only want lower taxes, but spending is going to outstrip revenue. They don't want to cut the military, SS, or Medicare. The majority of the teabaggers are middle-aged, and due for heart attacks and strokes in the near future. The future with those loons is bleak. There's no way they can get rid of the deficit with what they have planned.

Maybe people are catching on to the Repub/Teabagger smoke and mirrors.

If those whackos get the balance of power, look for education and other programs to get cut - BIG time. All the Conservatives will be doing is shifting the financial burden onto the states, who will charge user fees and tolls for things like roads, libraries, schools, etc. People will end up paying more for things that were paid by tax revenue. There will be many things that will be privatized, and they'll get less value for their money, because private businesses will rake as much off the top as they can, before they fulfill their contracts.

People don't seem to realize that.

No, it means it's a lot more fiscally responsible on my part to go to the beach than to go to Vegas. That's kind of the message of the Tea Party, don't waste money that you don't have (see: Federal Government).

I as a Bi Racial Person can say that it is totally about race. Now, If these people spoke up during the Bush admin, I would say it's not about race. But I look at any Racism black on white or vice versa. Bush Did this stuff for 8 years not a peep. Obama's first month in office their protesting outside the white house. Holding VooDoo Witch Doctor signs. They didn't seem to have an issue when Bush 2 Put 700 Billion into medicare.
