The Tea Party movement needs to Fire Fifty members of Congress in 2010.

This is what some Independents say about thier movement withing the Tea Party...
"We choose the best 75 districts to contest, we apply national resources to these 75 local races, and we fire as many incumbents as we can(but at least 50). Our list of races is based in part on the Cap & Tax vote: we currently have 8 Republicans and 86 Democrats as potential targets. We take the contest to our opponents and will run and win in rural and suburban currently Democratic districts in the Midwest and Northeast. These voters are beginning to see what destruction the “Progressives” are causing and would like to not vote for them again. They don’t want to vote Republican either, though. The elected Republicans have demonstrated a stunning lack of competence in governing, and a proclivity for stupid, embarrassing sexual shenanigans. The Tea Party Movement can win in these districts. We are Independents; we can win as Independents."

As with any situation where people are dissatisfied with the status quot, they will find others with the same or like opinions concerning the cause of the unrest. The tea parties were just ordinary people who gathered to exchange ideas and show support for each other. There were people from both major parties that felt the government has abandoned the voters and the country. They believed that both parties had strayed from their main message and goals. Many were Republicans unhappy with the failings of their party to stay with their conservative base. Many of the Democrats that went were unhappy with the direction that Obama was going with the health care legislation and Independents who had supported Obama that felt betrayed by the drive to the extreme left and broken promises.
Their main goal is to make Washington aware that the direction being pursued is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. That there will be opposition in November to those who have ignored the voters and pursued their own agendas.
