Tea Party Movement

Tyler Said:

What is your opinion on the Tea Party movement?

We Answered:

If I'd only seen them on main stream media news, I'd think they are a bunch of nut cases. Fortunately, I attended one and while there were a small number of what I would call "undesirables" there, for the most part it was average Americans from all races and all walks of life with one thing in common: A desire for some fiscal responsibility!

Since then I have attended one more, a larger one at a different location and the demographics were similar to the first one.

Did you see the Rasmussen poll the other day where the results showed how few people trust our government? The liberals blew it off as "Rasmussen is in the right wing's pocket" but today the Pew Research Institute's similar poll results came out and guess what? Not much different from Rasmussens. Go ahead and call Pew a bunch of right wing lap dogs if you dare libbies. LOL
(Occam's Razor is the only thing that makes sense.)
I think the Tea Party Movement is having a ripple effect and it's starting to show up in polls.

Glenda Said:

How do you think future historians will look back on the Tea Party movement?

We Answered:

It will depend on how many of it's candidates make it to Congress or even the Presidency in 2 years. It could be the start of a new party, and it could turn out to be a footnote in political history. Do many people (old enough or from history) remember George Wallace's "American Independent Party". (1968, 1972) Is Ross Perot still thought of a lot? (1992)

If the Tea Party is a 3rd party it might not be a big thing in US history, but if it just merges with the more mainstream Republicans, it will just become a part of the party, just as the "Silent Majority" or 'Religious Right" have over the decades. Maybe the Republicans are getting more factions, just as the Democrats always have had.

Vivian Said:

What is the common denominator that unites the "Tea Party" movement?

We Answered:

Believing everything FOX tells them.

Georgia Said:

How do I get involved with the tea party movement?

We Answered:

I had the same question. I know that a majority of people look down on the Tea Party...for now...so at first I was hesitant to look for other supporters. But then I realized that a true Patriot wouldn't be afraid of letting others know about how he felt, so I started looking for others. I noticed that a symbol the Tea Party Movement is using is the coiled snake of Colonel Gadsden's Revolutionary War flag. Its the one that it was later added, "Liberty or Death" on it.

I did some searching and I found a store that sells all sorts of things with that image on it. I bought one, started wearing it, and now every so often I meet someone who likes the shirt and actually tell me that they feel the same way I do about the Tea Party. Maybe you could try meeting other people the same way. Here is the link to the site that I used, in case you are interested:

Lance Said:

Who Do You Think Liberals Hate The Most, Members Of The Tea Party Movement Or Islamic Terrorists ?

We Answered:

Is there a difference?

They both are filled with hate.

Hate is a very powerful emotion, as we saw with the bombing in Oklahoma City. That could easily happen again, given the Tea Party Mentality of some people in this country.

Cecil Said:

What was the exact wording in NAACP resolution that said the Tea Party Movement is a racist organization?

We Answered:

You're correct.

The NAACP didn't say the Tea Party was racist, it said that it was "harboring racist elements that are a threat to our democracy."

Like Mark Williams, spokesman for the Tea Party Express, who wrote this "satirical" letter:

Dear Mr. Lincoln,

We Colored People have taken a vote and decided that we don't cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!
In fact we held a big meeting and took a vote in Kansas City this week. We voted to condemn a political revival of that old abolitionist spirit called the ‘tea party movement'.

Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government “stop raising our taxes.” That is outrageous! How will we Colored People ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?

Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.

Sincerely,

Precious Ben Jealous, Tom's Nephew National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Head Colored Person"

Constance Said:

What the EDL is to Britons is what the Tea Party movement is to Americans?

We Answered:

Theres nothing English about the EDL, same as theres nothing British about the BNP.
Traditionaly, being english and also british is about accepting social intergration and not being xenophobic about it.
The EDL was founded by ex-BNP members in Luton, apparently in reaction of an 'Islamist' demo which was protesting a march carried out by the Royal Anglian Regiment, upon returning from active duty.
I know for a fact, the the EDL has a much longer history than that, maybe not using the same name, but there have been squadist groups within the BNP, since its beginings, and in reason years, it has begining to break away.
I am freindly with a few EDL members, and they deny the BNP link, although most of them do say that there are alot of racist members within the group, which can sometimes threaten their membership.

For the Zionist backing of the EDL, there is much proof. I was keeping up to date with the Demo in Aylesbury, back in May, as i live nearby, and i didnt want to get stabbed, and there were pictures uploaded within a few minuted of it happening, and there ones in the market square of someone with an Israel flag draped over their shoulders.
http://www.bucksherald.co.uk/news/EDL-le…
Ive heard that they have links due to their common enemy, islam, but that does not necessarily mean that all jews support the EDL, same as not all jews are zionist, even in the middle east.
My mate was in attendence of the EDL demo, and he told me that there were chants of 'long live israel', and 'paki-loving scum' towards the police. hes not the racist type, and even he was pull backed by this. also accordinf to some journalists and police alike, therewere some individuals who engaged in the nazi salute, which isnt much of a suprise, as there have been neo-nazi groups in aylesbury before, and there are many among the ranks of the EDL.

Also, the EDL brag about their black and jewish membership, to show that they arent a racist group, but it does bring about that they are fascist, as they oppose islam, and there are no meber of the EDL from asia. jewish members may be high, but there are very very very few black members.

the word 'racist' is thrown around far to much when sensitive subjects like this arise, but i know id certainly be angry if there were anti-catholic groups protetesting in my town and assulting my family and freinds.
the BNP, along with other fascist groups like the National Front and Combat 18, have had links with british loyalist paramilitaries in northern ireland since the 80's, and recently, have been involved with Johnny 'Mad Dog' Adair, the infamous loaylist hitman, who was in jal for some time and recently tried to assasisnate gerry adams and other sinn féin members.

if you ever attend a bnp meeting and certain edl demos, you may see a loyalist ulster flag, with a crown above the hand, and a 'zionist' star of david behind it.
groups like the UDA and the orange order are racist, as they are anti-irish and anti-catholic, which is common knowledge, but because they are in northern ireland, people in england dont care so much about them, but they still maintsain links with the BNP and other groups.
the UDL, Ulster Defence League held a demo in belfast a while ago, and it dodnt go so well, as there was a large nationalist and anti-fascist presence, which is the same in glasgow.
