Not everyone, just the left wing of the nation. Hilary Clinton moaned about being called un patriotic when the left criticized President Bush, screaming to her cronies that she is not going to take it anymore. When the right criticizes President Obama, they are called nazi's, racists, bitter, religious fanatics, and the funniest one of all....angry. LOL, what the tea party is, is committed to a cause, and the left cannot stand the fact that the Tea Party doesn't agree with their ideology, so they demonize the behavior.

Supposedly they ARE their own party now, however when they declared their own conservative views they more or less sided with the Republicans, by default.

Will they split the GOP? No, I think conservatives and Republicans go hand in hand. Besides there would have to be a resurgence of liberalism in the Republican party, and that I don't see now or any time soon.
