I think tea party Conservatives have a fairly good grasp of the Constitution. I know I do and I share my knowledge with many who in turn teach me new things constantly.

I think Republicans and Democraps understand the Constitution, they just don't bother to go by it because they know the average citizen doesn't have a clue about what the document means or contains.

So I guess if anything, I would be an advocate of teaching the citizens more about the Constitution. I would also try to instruct them on some basic economic theory too.

You forgot about illegally wiretapping us, using the DOJ as a political tool, allowing banks to use subprime loans to prey on the uninformed, allowing speculators to drive up the price of gasoline which destroyed the economy and ignoring the economy until the job losses and bankruptcies were astronomical.

But to answer your question about where the teapartiers were, they were clapping for Bush, waving their flags, and saying anyone who questions Booosh in time of war has Bush Derangement Syndrome or is unpatriotic. They are sheeple and Glen Beck gave them their marching orders so they are marching.

My children received a steady diet of environmentalism in school and daycare. I remember when my daughter tearfully told me "all the polar bears will be dead because of global warming". She was in kindergarten and her favorite part of zoo visits was watching the polar bears. Yes, she was a child and they are prone to literalism. Sadly, so are many sane adults.

James Jay Lee bought into the doomsday environmental ideology. His concerns were certainly radical, but they are not unique to him. There is evidence Lee was led to his warped conclusions. It is a relatively short trip from"humans are killing the planet" to "humans must die to save the planet". o_O
