A tea party?
Such a genteel idea.

One that I envision deteriorating as the evening progresses into either a mosh pit or a circus - arm wrestling in one corner, jello wrestling in another, and at least 2 tables set up with petitions for opposing causes, being worked by dedicated advocates, who will spend the evening glaring ominously at each other.

Or, perhaps the volatile mix of testosterone and hormones (further fueled by the byob folks in the crowd) would lead to an impulsively orchestrated mass exit, in protest, of course, by all the serious debaters in the bunch.

That would leave the hedonists, the curious, the smart azzes, and the "nice" people.

The 2 nice people will leave early because the conversation, and the atmosphere, has begun to get a little too risque.

Those remaining will begin to bond and share their booze, and fall into in depth discussion about serious gender issues like whether men or women have stronger sex drives, prevalence of bi-sexuality, theories on dominance and submission, polygamy, etc.

You can ascertain where this is headed...lol.
