Texas Tea Party Candidates

Michelle Said:

What do you think of this POLITICO article titled "Libertarians lead independent shift from Obama"?

We Answered:

There is certainly a Libertarian push in favor of the politics of people like Ron Paul. And yes, Ron Paul is a different flavor of Republican than the sort we witnessed in the McCain/Palin campaign and in the Bush/Cheney administration.

The Republicans have failed to recognize in recent years that they win when they are fiscally conservative and lose when they are not. The conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq cost a great deal of money, and it is hardly clear that any long-term benefit has been (or will be) generated from them. Further, the bailout (supported by Bush, McCain and Obama) of failing businesses runs contrary to the capitalist mindset that a business's inefficiency must be penalized by obsolescence and then extinction.

Indeed, fiscal conservatives could be excused in recent years in thinking they were abandoned by the Republican Party. Thus, Libertarians and "Tea Party" members have managed to attract fiscal conservatives in large numbers. There is a calling in America, particularly in tough economic times, for someone who is prepared to limit government spending.

With this attitude in mind, the general consensus is that Republicans will regain seats in both houses of Congress this November. In 2012, it is hard to say whether this push for fiscal conservatism will result in Obama's removal, but this much is clear - Obama can hardly be called a fiscal conservative.

Terrence Said:

Why did Sarah Palin support the bank bailouts in 2008?

We Answered:

Wasn't she just a puppet VP candidate who could be dispensed with once Obama was secured in the White House?

They've cut her strings so now she's on her own crusade.

But I'm British, what the hell do I know? I can't tell the difference between American actors and American politicians. And neither can the American electorate. They're just impressed with her wardrobe and applaud whatever she says.

Joe Said:

To All Conservatives That Went To Tea Parties Today, A Questionaire...?

We Answered:

Well said..

Marian Said:

Will the Tea Party support the Dem that called Obama a "Wall St puppet" OR do they only support Republicans?

We Answered:

The tea party will support whom ever is for lower spending and preserving the America, we know, love and grew up with.
