What Is The Tea Party All About
Darren Said:
What are tea party members all about? We Answered:
TaxedEnough
Already
That is their main issue and why it was created. They want smaller government, less intrusion by the Feds and reduced spending.
You should consider what people are saying on here and then research it and decide for yourself. The people who are saying it's a hate group do not know what they are talking about.
Glenn Said:
How has the Tea Party and Rand Paul managed to get the idea of Civil Rights all tangled up in their minds with?We Answered:
What they have done is confused in their minds what is a "right". They are imagining that it is a basic human right to discriminate against anyone you want to, but it is not a right to be treated fairly. They imagine that this is something that the free market will sort out and fix all by itself, when the evidence is that racism is self-perpetuating and more like a monopoly propped up by government action - or inaction.Libertarians believe that business owners have the right to discriminate in hiring. They feel that labor laws and workplace safety laws interfere with the "agreement" between an owner and employee who both want the owner to make scads of money while paying the employee a fraction of minimum wage to work at a dangerous job, as though somehow this represents equal bargaining power.
If the person who was discriminated against doesn't like it, he can open a factory of his own and refuse to hire the guy who discriminated against him. Isn't that fair?
In a libertarian utopia, money trumps all. Those with the best goon squads would be the only ones with security. People would keep all their money in their mattresses because they would know that it was not safe from banks run by crime syndicates. And people would die all the time because hospitals and doctors refused to treat them because of the color of their skin or their gender.
The funny thing about the libertarian philosophy is the majority of those who believe in it as devoutly as any cult are convinced that they would be one of the favored few warlords whose power permitted them to live the good life.
Libertarianism is anarchy. At least the anarchists are honest about it. ?°)
Suzanne Said:
What is the Tea Party all about? We Answered:
It is about small, unobtrusive government, financial responsibility in government and following the U.S. Constitution. It is not a party of racist since many races belong to it, and people from many different religions are welcome to join and do belong. The Tea Parties are made of primarily of middle-aged and older women and men who are totally not likely to become violent. To even suggest it is humorous. And, yes, they are in favor of reversing the legislation that created the unwanted Obamacare wherein the death panels are provided for. They are also for replacing liberals and progressives in the government, including Obama, with more conservative people no matter what party they belong to. Finally, the Tea Party movement is not a monolithic, top-down movement but is grass-roots with no national leader or organization.Casey Said:
What is the Tea Party that's rallying right now all about? We Answered:
Please, go to their website.Asking that question here is not going to give you a true picture.
The liberals see them as a threat to their man, so what you'll read from them might as well be a trash.
