- leftist tendencies (ie redistribution of wealth)
- past associations (college, early days in Chicago, church)

I'll never forget Buckaroo Banzai because it was the very first movie we rented after we bought a VCR (betamax, remember those?). I was very young but I remember a lot of it because my dad made us watch it every day until it was due back. It was pretty good and I think I ended up having a brief crush on Peter Weller. I'd have to say now that I think Requiem for a Dream is up there as the coolest movie I've seen in a long time. The drug sequences and the camera shots were really something new for the time it was released.

I am shocked by the number of people who do not understand that same sex marriage is an equal rights issue. The vote in CA essentially codified discrimination - which is why it has been challenged in court. It would be similar to banning interracial marriage.
