Am I Registered To Vote In California

Heather Said:

Am I a resident of California?

We Answered:

You are a resident. You may be in violation of the law for not having your license in California. You are required to get a California license shortly after you move there. Your school address is your residence for more than half of the year. You are registered to vote in California. These are things that are used to determine residency.

Nice to see a college student willing to perform their civic responsibilities though.

Marilyn Said:

How do I find out what county I am registered to vote in?

We Answered:

try this site. If it doesn't work you need to go to your states Secretary of State website

Rose Said:

I live in california- Alameda County, but I am registered to vote in Mendocino County. Can I vote?

We Answered:

Yes. I definitely know the answer to this because my son and daughter-in-law are in the same predicament. Make sure you take a picture ID and if you have your voter registration you can take that too. You'll just be limited to vote for the Presidential race. You won't be allowed to vote for the local candidates nor issues that will affect the new area. Good Luck.

Jack Said:

I am not registered to vote, but I currently live in California and will be moving to Illinois in 12 days.?

We Answered:

You need to check on-line with the Secretary of State for both California and Illinois as to their respective deadlines. There is no uniform rule regarding deadlines. Each state will also have different laws regarding individuals registered to vote in other states who move into the state before the election.
