Todd Said:

if i'm registered to vote in south carolina but am in texas on election day what do i do?

We Answered:

No, you can't vote on line. I don't know if you can still get an absentee ballot but that is your best bet. Call you township office and ask.

Becky Said:

I live in Texas. If I am registered to vote in a certain county, can I vote anywhere in that county?

We Answered:

No, you have to go to your specific polling place. You were assigned a polling place based on your address when you registered.
If your county has a website you can usually find the polling places listed there. Or call your local elections office, the numbers are on this website: http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/vot…

Jesus Said:

I am registered to vote in Texas but live in California now, will I have to go back to Texas to vote?

We Answered:

It is doubtless too late, for the administrative times involved, to effect a Transfer of Permanent Residence now. The times involved vary with the States but for most States a low estimate of time involved would be two months. Your best bet would be to contact the Represenative in the District in which you are registered in Texas, and ask him/her about how you go about obtaining a Ballot for the purpose of voting in absentium.
