Am I Registered To Vote

Ruby Said:

If I am registered to vote already, am I registered for the February primary?

We Answered:

Yes. Unless you have recently changed your home address, you are registered to vote in all current and future elections, including the February primary (in your state), and the general elections (perhaps in June in some states), and the federal elections in November for president, senators, congressmen, etc. Your polling place might have changed, so check with your county or city's election official's office. You should receive a sample ballot and election materials at the address you are registered for.

Oscar Said:

I am registered to vote as an independent. Am I allowed to vote for the Democratic party on Tuesday?

We Answered:

As an independent you can vote any way you want. Just like a Republican can vote Democrat and a Democrat can vote Republican. I guess what Im saying is your party affiliation is not written in stone. People often jump fence from one side to the other depending on the office & candidates running. Wether its local dog catcher, mayor, senator, etc.

If the better candidate in your eye's is in a different party then you belong too, you dont have to vote your party.

Thats what alot of young 1st time voters think. They automatically vote their party all the way down the ticket, instead of researching on their own to find out who the best candidate for them is in each office - regardless of party affiliation.

Jimmie Said:

How can I find out if I am registered to vote in nevada?

We Answered:

The State Government of Nevada has a Web site where you look it up.

Harry Said:

if I voted in the last presidential election, am I registered to vote?

We Answered:

As long as you haven't moved or changed your name/political party, your registration is still valid and you should be eligible to vote in your state's Primary. If you would like to check your registration status, you can always contact your local Board of Elections just to make sure. Go to this website to find their contact information:

Gerald Said:

How can I find out if I am fully registered to vote?

We Answered:

Go to your local Voters' Registrar's office.

Bring valid ID and tell them your problem.

If you are registered, ask that a voter's registration card be sent to you ASAP.

Discuss It!
