You'd better speak to an attorney. If you are saying you said you were a citizen, that is a felony and bar from entry, much less citizenship as I understand it. I'm not entirely clear on your details, but applying to vote when you can't legally vote is pretty bad. However, fraud on your citizenship application would put you in the same place, as I understand it.

well, if you really don't think you ever did register to vote, just say no. in any case, the DMV doesn't keep those records, but rather the county government. I suppose you could check with them to see if you ever registered to vote.

I've never liked when people criticize others for not voting. Plus when others don't vote, it makes my vote count more. I've voted in every election since I was 18, but I strongly support people who choose not to vote. A right to vote does not equal an obligation to vote.

Besides, people did not die for our right to vote . . . they died for our freedom (which includes the freedom to chose if we want to vote at all).
