Laws can also be adopted in many states through "referendum" -- that is by bills that are put directly on the ballot for people to vote directly on -- by most law is generated by congress. Honestly, if you have only paid attention to talking heads, rather than reading the stances and bios of the people running, I would rather that you don't vote. If you can't find an ideal any candidate holds paramount that you agree with, don't vote. If you truly have no opinion about how this country has been run in the last eight years, or sixteen years, or 32 years, or 64 years, don't vote, please.If you think you might make a difference by casting a vote for any candidate you think echos your beliefs, then you must vote, if only for that one candidate. You can skip all other sections of the ballot.
