Change Of Address For Voting

Jackie Said:

need to change my ip address!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

We Answered:

Go to START - RUN, type CMD
Type IPCONFIG /RELEASE

Then type IPCONFIG /RENEW

That is all that you can do. Your IP address comes from your ISP provider and they use DHCP to assign IP address. You have NO Control!

Miriam Said:

[Absentee Ballot in MI] I'm not sure which address I'm registered at (1 of 2 addresses possible) what can I do?

We Answered:

She should check if she's registered at either address here:

If nothing comes up, she should call the election office for her more recent county and ask what to do. She can find that here:

April Said:

In Virginia if I moved and I didn't change my address on my voter information, can I still vote?

We Answered:

if you have not changed your address on your voter registration card, you can only vote in the district of said registration. I live in va. Let's say you lived in Hampton and moved to Va Beach, your polling place is going to be in hampton where you were last registered at. however, being as though you must present at least a drivers license(and if yours has your new address on it) most likely you will be referred to va beach, however, if you did not change your address on your voter registration card when you moved-you may be up the creek without a paddle-but you can still fill out a provisional ballot.

Naomi Said:

Is there a voting helpline? am i allowed to vote?

We Answered:

You will vote by what is called a "provisional ballot", which simply means they will need to verify your new information before they count you vote. Yes, you can still vote. Be sure to take you driver's license with you to the polls tomorrow. You won't have any problem. Just explain your situation and the folks at the polling station will help get you set up properly.
