After a definant amount of time the question has been asked, yahoo members can vote on which answer is the best. After the voting period is over, whoever has the most votes wins. If there is a tie, the question remains in voting until the tie is broken.

Of course, I'm 100% hate it. That's why starting from now I only answer questions which BA will be chosen by the asker. And I only come here once a week, but when I make my official return in this section, I will also do the same thing, I will only answer questions from the user I know that he will choose BA.

BA chosen by voters really gives the opportunity to some cheaters. Cheaters rely on votes. BAs that could be chosen by voters would also make the cheater become lazier to answer, because they can give just a simple answer, then they will get BAs by using his other accounts.
I have some example about questions with short answers then get BAs because those go into voting and the user who have a few other accounts will get more votes than others:

Those are some examples. That's why I really advice to all of you, always pick BA.

Return to your question after a minimum of one hour and at least one answer, click the best answer button below the answer you choose then follow the prompts to rate and comment.It's always a good idea to do that because asking the question cost you 5 points and you will get 3 points back for choosing the best answer which makes the question resolved. After four days if you haven't chosen best answer it goes to voting and the community chooses. The voting period is two days after that the answer having the most number of votes wins and the question is considered resolved.

YES. It just seems like they ask the question, get what they want, and then forget about it.
It's better etiquette and basically implied to leave some feedback, kinda like after you buy something off the internet, it's better to just leave some sort of feedback to the seller.

I hate when I have to wait one full week and people just pick their own answers as best, rather than the asker picking it. It shouldn't bother me that much, but it actually does. lol
