Yes. I don't think 50% of the clinton support will vote for McCain though. I think a good portion will, but many will just not vote. What is happening is that the DNC is basically cleaning house and realigning their base support. You are seeing a split in the Democratic Party. Personally, I think they are taking the wrong direction. They have chosen to go further left. Once the economy recovers and the war in Iraq is ended, the shift left nationally will end, and this will leave activism out in the cold. The DNC is dooming itself.On may 20th, his campaign plans to announce that he is the winner of the primary. He is going to assume a win in order to force the DNC to declare him the nominee.
The crap is about to hit the fan.
I think that the Republican Party will try to end the war in Iraq by November. If they accomplish this and the economy turns around, you will see Obama's numbers fall bad, because his campaign will have its major talking points muted. People will only want change, if things are going bad.
