Il Voter Registration

Bernard Said:

Do you need a voter registration card to prove that you are registered in IL before you can vote tomorrow?

We Answered:

I never have needed the voter registration card, just my driver's license. You just go in and they look you up in their book and verify that you're a registered voter.

You might want to check to see whether your county has an election commission website (mine -- DuPage -- does), and maybe it'll tell you.

Please help answer these IL constitution election questions?

We Answered:

Check with the Illinois League of Women Voters.

Their National link is below. From there, you should be able to find the Illinois chapters.

I looked up the Illinois Constitution (See second link) and found several answers in just a couple of minutes. You haven't tried hard enough, "Mom".

State income tax question. I lived in three states in 2006...?

you file seperate state tax returns for those states that require sate income tax. You'll have to pay extra for the tax software but it can handle it. moving expenses are deductable if your company didn't pay for it.

Stacy Said:

Why is voting age not 17 years and 3 months and why is age even a factor in voter registration?

We Answered:

I agree about part II. we have a basic knowledge test to drive, why not to vote.

As far a part one it is written into the US Constitution. If you don't like work to ammend the USC regarding voting age.
