Hillary Clinton will not be the Democratic Candidate. Obama has only served one term so far, so he will run again. Political parties pretty much always run the incumbent, I think their has only been one time in history where they didn't. So, unless Obama dies or resigns Hillary will have to wait until 2016 for another shot. Between Palin and Obama, I'll be voting for Obama, Palin scares the crap out of me.Sheila Said:

Mick,You are a forward thinker, my man, and on the right track.
I believe that the best structure, would ba a coalition of 'independents'. I know that sounds like an oxymoron, or conflict of interests, but to arrive at a set of ideals for a new party, and get agreement from a number of members, (5,000 you say?), and then support of a majority of voters to gat elected, seems a distant wish.
I believe independents can agree on some important things, like:
.Facts, not political spin.
.Future planning, not basking in past achievements.
."Australia First", not "what's going to get me re-elected at the next election".
.Accountability for the political actions and decisions, not hiding behind a "mandate to run amok" mentality.
I think, once these basics are agreed to, the independents can then fairly represent their constituents to get done what their electors really want.
As far as other options for political parties are concerned, don't forget some have tried...
Remember:

Australia First
One Australia
DLP
Greens
etc, etc.
I think the Coalition of Independents can work.
