Gene Said:

Absentee or Re register?

We Answered:

I'm voting absentee, and, COINCIDENCE I'm also from Kankakee county. lol. I got the form from the Kankakee county clerk (you can google it to find his website). I'm filling it out right now, but it's a little confusing, so I'm going to call his office on Monday to make sure I fill it out right. Ask me questions if you need them!

Eileen Said:

how do i register to vote in Wisconsin?

We Answered:

Just bring an ID and something with your address on it. ie phone bill, electric bill, etc when you go to vote. And you can do it then.

Yes, you can register to vote if you are 18 by Tuesday Nov 4th. In fact, I believe you can register even BEFORE you turn 18, but not VOTE.

Andrea Said:

I just moved to a new state can I register to vote in the new state or do I have to fill an absentee vote?

We Answered:

I actually just looked into this, but I moved from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts. You have to be a resident of PA in your election district for at least 30 days before the election, and your county voter registration office has to receive the forms 30 days before the next election. Now the slightly tricky part about this is that you need to show an ID, since you have a Wisconsin license that won't work, but if you have a government, military, passport, student or employee id with a photo they will take one of those. Of course if you decide to get a PA drivers license or an ID card they will work too.

I did find on a website acceptable forms of non-photo ID (i'll include the link). But from my knowledge they still want to see some sort of photo ID, so to be on the safe side I would try to have or get something to take when you vote.
