North Carolina has a "motor voter" law. You will be able to register when you go to DMV and get your new NC drivers license.

You must vote in your place of permanent residence.

Hugh Said:

Is it racist to ask someone show photo identification to vote?

We Answered:

you can almost claim that anything is raciest today, everything can some how some way be portrayed as raciest. but no. they do it so they can tell that you are actually you. so that some other people like bob can't say he's mike and vote for mite and him self later. its like a safety net, since people in the past would vote and use a dead person or family members name they check id to make sure you are you. its like when they ask for id for a credit card use. that also could be considered.
they can't turn you away at a voting booth unless you already voted or you are a convicted felon, or not a resident. or have a restriction on you.
in this case some one was being an *** and trying to keep people from voting which they are not aloud to do, so yes screw ups can happen and will, because of human error or human problem.

Who to Vote for North Carolina elections?

We Answered:

Im a NC resident and I am not going to waste my time voting. I hate to tell you, but the Dems also support injustice and overall bad policy. Both parties are going to continue spending, wasting money disguised as "spending money on education". Is medical weed really the hot issue for you?

Grace Said:

Can I vote democrat if I'm a registered Republican in North carolina?

We Answered:

you vote along party lines in the primary, in the general November election , you can vote for who ever you want, unless Obama's Chicago Mobsters are making you vote for him

Marsha Said:

In North Carolina, am I allowed to vote in the Democratic Primaries if I am a registered Republican?

We Answered:

No. I'm sorry :(. North Carolina is a closed primary state (according to the link below), so Dems vote in the Democratic primary and Reps in the Republican. It also explains the closed primary rule.
