Tiffany Said:

Out of state tuition for next year?

We Answered:

You will still be out-of-state because during this year in California you will be attending post-high school schooling. The year has to be a year without any school because California wants to see proof that you are not just interested in living there for school. Just because you so happen to register for everything else Californian doesn't mean you're not there just for their schools.

What do i need to do to vote...?

We Answered:

I'm pretty sure once you have registered, its all checks out. I was voting locally for the state and all and I didn't have my card. i also moved from Miami to Illinois and I got to vote, and it was pretty easy. only hard thing was finding my designated voting place. just bring some form of identification (preferably with a picture) and everything should be okay.

As to your voting station, since its the presidential election, I don't think you have a designated place, but don't quote me on this one. Call your local City,Village, etc.

You might want to find out your voting number in case they ask, there is a "black list" of voters names that may show up if anything at all is fishy, especially first time voters. Its supposedly to stop voting fraud. It seems to be messing with a lot of young voters... kind of disappointing cause they say 18-24 is the age range that votes the least. hah. coincidence?

Good luck and happy voting!

Voting questuon....about registering...?

We Answered:

I do not know about CA. Each state is different. You might want to contact your state election board and ask. I'm in PA, and there is currently a movement of 17 year olds who will be 18 by November who are trying to get laws changed to accommodate them so that they may register and vote.

Even if you have to register as independent or a different party, that's ok. You can vote for anyone in the general election. Then, you can later change your party affiliation to whatever you want it to be.

EDIT: Check this link. You will be able to see if you meet the criteria. Looks like you have time, and should be eligible. There are also phone numbers listed at the bottom.
