do a search for the site Vietnam Veterans Against John McCain ...look at him on videos admitting he injured himself when he crashed his own plane & then gave secrets to the enemy & was known as songbird & then he used his senate seat bought by his father to make sure that the POWs never came back...he shows who he really is & his war story probably wasn't even written by him he probably paid someone to make it up.

What you need to ask yourself is "What should the federal govt's role be in our daily lives?".

If you are a conservative, you will answer that it's exactly the very limited role that the Constitution prescribes. See the 10th Amendment.

If you are a liberal, you will say that it needs to do much more like feed the poor, make all injustice go away, protect people from evil corporations, etc.

Once you make that determination, you can see how policy flows from that to make laws, etc.

Forget party affiliations and look at each individual candidate's stand on this fundamental question.
