Voter Absentee Ballot

Kristen Said:

Have Democrats become so desperate that they are now committing voter fraud with absentee ballots?

We Answered:

I'll bet you that military absentee ballots will be lost, "late" or uncounted in many counties.

Steve Said:

Does an absentee ballot differ in format from the ballot voters see on election day?

We Answered:

I have 30 years' experience as an Election Inspector, so, I feel I can properly answer this question for you.

No, there is no difference between the absentee ballot and the ballot seen in the voting machines. If there is a discrepancy of any kind, it must be reported to the Board of Elections immediately.
I noticed a discrepancy in an absentee ballot...the Spanish version instructed the voter to vote for any one candidate for Village Trustee, while the English version of the absentee ballot instructed the voter to select any two candidates. I reported this error immediately to the BOE.

Lori Said:

If I am registered Democrat, Can I vote on the Independence section of my Absentee Ballot?

We Answered:

As long as it's the General Election ballot, you can vote for whomever you like, any party you'd like.

That is probably a candidate for the "Independence Party." There is such a thing. Be sure you know whom you vote for.

Priscilla Said:

do i have to fill in all of the slots in the absentee ballot?

We Answered:

No, I don't think so......and leave NO hanging chads.

Katherine Said:

Do absentee ballot voters get confirmation that their vote was counted?

We Answered:

Georgia does not mail confirmation. I guess you just have to have faith in the system if you vote absentee.

Enrique Said:

What proportion of those voting for Hillary Clinton in the New Hampshire primary, did so by "absentee ballot"?

We Answered:

Why don`t you ask somebody, who gives a s,hit!

Wade Said:

Why is the McCain campaign sending absentee ballots to potential Obama voters?

We Answered:

Probably the same reason two-thirds of Ohio counties have destroyed or lost their 2004 presidential ballots and related election records, according to letters from county election officials to the Ohio Secretary of State, Jennifer Brunner.

The lost records violate Ohio law, which states federal election records must be kept for 22 months after Election Day, and a U.S. District Court order issued last September that the 2004 ballots be preserved while the court hears a civil rights lawsuit alleging voter suppression of African-American voters in Columbus.

The destruction of the election records also frustrates efforts by the media and historians to determine the accuracy of Ohio's 2004 vote count, because in county after county the key evidence needed to understand vote count anomalies apparently no longer exists.
