Voter Information Guide

Pauline Said:

How does Prop 19 "jeopardize $9,400,000,000.00 in school funding?"?

We Answered:

I would research federal school funding, there is probably something there about schools being drug free environments in order to receive funding and legalizing weed, which would still be illegal on the federal level, could very well jeopardize all federal funding for schools.

Clara Said:

Does anyone know where I can find an Indiana voter guide?

We Answered:

As a Indiana citizen, you don't need to "vote" on state constitutional amendments unless a majority of registered voters within the state want to amend the constitution or call it up for a review.

As for the 2008 itinerary of voting, you can check the following linked-to document below as well as the Indiana General Assembly's official website.

You may also wish to contact your local GA representative or call your local Ward Office for more information.

Mabel Said:

I say we protect TRADITIONAL arranged child MARRIAGES! who's with me?!?

We Answered:

History? What has history got to do with anything? We've had polygamy, monogamy, different sex, same sex, arranged, lovestruck, interracial, incestuous, inter-religion, forced, white marriage, so the history argument goes down the drain.
Having said that, I never understood why anyone should stand in the way of two people who, consciously, responsibly and by free will, want to do something that won't affect anyone else but them. But maybe that's just me being european yet again, right? :-)

Frank Said:

How does voting Yes on California Prop 24 reduces long-term revenues for schools?

We Answered:

Increasing the tax will only provide a short term funding boost. The issue is that those tax breaks were enacted to encourage high-tech companies (with high paying jobs) to settle in California instead of a more 'business friendly' state.

Removing the incentive for companies to move to California will produce a short term bump in tax revenues that will steadly decline as companies shift their operations elsewhere.

Frank Said:

where is there an unbiased voter's guide to both national and local election on the candidates?

We Answered:

NO. All voter guides will be biased to a greater or lesser degree. There is no substitute for keeping informed on an ongoing basis. You cheat yourself by cramming at the last minute.
