Generally, you do not need to submit identification when you are registering to vote. You should provide your current address on your voter registration application.You will, however, need to submit identification when you are voting at the polls. There are several forms of identification that can be presented and not all require your current address to be on them. Go here to find the acceptable forms of identification:

It depends on how bad they mess it up. I wouldn't resubmit a new registration before first calling your voting office. They may have an alternative way of temporarily correcting it until they can send you a new one.As far as not being allowed to vote because of the mistake - I wouldn't worry about it. These kinds of things happen all of the time. Just call and find out what procedures you need to take to get it corrected.
