Voter Registration Florida

Naomi Said:

What do I need to do about my voter registration?

We Answered:

I live in Florida. You can contact your county superiors of elections. They will verify you registered address and give you the option to have an absentee ballot sent to your present location.

"How Can I Acquire an Absentee Ballot?

A registered voter, member of the voter's immediate family or the voter's legal guardian, if directly instructed by the voter, may request an absentee ballot from the supervisor of elections in the voter's county. The ballot may be requested by phone or send in writing. If you would like to have an absentee ballot mailed to you, contact your supervisor of elections by 5 p.m. on the sixth day before an election. The following information should be provided in the request:

• voter's name
• voter's address
• voter's date of birth
• requester's name
• requester's address
• requester's driver's license number (if available)
• requester's relationship to the voter, and requester's signature (written request only)
• Written requests should be signed by the voter.

During the 15 days before the election, early voting will be available for all registered voters in elections offices and specific designated sites. Voting will be conducted for eight hours on each weekday and for eight hours during the weekend."

"How do I Return the Absentee Ballot and What is the Deadline?

The voter must mail, deliver, or have delivered the marked ballot so that it reaches the supervisor of elections no later than 7:00 p.m. on the day of the election.
