The exact turnaround on processing a voter registration form in Alabama depends on the number of registration forms received combined with the number of individuals processing them. Around each election cycle they get a lot more than any other time but also have more people to handle the extra load. Mine was sent in just a few months prior to the past Presidential election cycle and took maybe a couple of days to process once they received it, but it was about 2 weeks before I receive my notice in the mail of my voting precinct.

So the answer to your question is about 2 weeks give or take a couple of days before you will be notified of it's acceptance. If you thought to copy the address and phone info from the form or if you downloaded the form in it's PDF format you may wish to contact them if past 3 weeks. Those addresses and phone numbers are on page 3 of the PDF file document and would be the one you mailed it for your county. Check the link below for a PDF copy of the form you mailed if you don't have one. You can save and/or print it.

To check whether or not you registered, check you county office.
Search your county name (ex. Los Angeles County) on google.
