Voter Turnout Rates

Raymond Said:

Why are voter turnout rates lower in the U.S than other countries that hold democratic elections?

We Answered:

Just one party (with 2 names)

Rose Said:

How can feminists complain about the patriarchy when voter turnout rates for women exceed that of men?

We Answered:

Because it's their gravy train. If they don't 'fight the patriarchy' they have no reason to exist.

Stephen Said:

Anyone know the voter turnout rate?

We Answered:

About 68% - which is very high.

Monica Said:

Does anyone know the current voter turnout rate in the states that vote early ? ?

We Answered:

No, because records on early voters are also being consulted. In places where voters are actually going to the polls to vote early, they are being exit-polled, and in place where they are absentee-voting, the records on who has voted (though not how) is already available to pollsters. I read that turnout among Democrats is a great deal higher than Republicans this year, although formerly the opposite was the case.

Eric Said:

The US has a relatively low voter turnout rate?

We Answered:

Watching TV on a national election, they assume who will win and not bother.
Assuming that their vote doesn't count, anyway.
Not liking any of the candidates.
Confusion as to where the candidates stand.
Not wanting to make a mistake (no vote better than wrong vote).
Hassle at the poles.
Just too darn lazy.

A frequent voter........
Knows who he wants in office
Wants a change in government
Is a staunch Rep/Dem and wants it to stay that way
Knows that this is his chance to be heard
Believes in this democracy and the 'right to vote'

Discuss It!
