I had a messenger friend like that a couple of years ago. I told him I had too many bills to pay and didn't have enough money left after the bills. He argued with me for few minutes because he thought with me being from America that I was rich. He finally acepted that I was not rich and quit chatting with me. That's when I figured out the only reason he was chatting with me was for money.
