To be fair, 16 year olds have to pay tax if they're in full time employment, which isn't really fair if they can't even vote.But... I don't think 16 year olds are sensible enough to vote responsibly. They're not aware of the 'real' issues yet. We'd end up with the Monster Raving Loony Party (a real party btw) or Green Peace or some other silly party.
I think that 18 is the right way to go. I'll be old enough to vote at the next general election!
