Isaac Said:
Should the voting age be raised to 21 ? Or those aged under 21 count for half a vote ?We Answered:
I'd like it restricted to people who have been Honorably Discharged from one of the armed forces.Eric Said:
are you for or against changing the voting age in Australia? We Answered:
As far as I am concerned, the lower the better!Charles Said:
VOTING AGE IN AUSTRAILA?We Answered:
Before you turn 18 you are expected to enrol on the electoral role.Anyone on this role and is over 18 (you can register at 17) MUST vote, if they do not they will get fined.
Some people don't enrol and while if they got caught could get some grief, don't usually have a problem. Most people just to the right thing. You can always donkey vote or draw rude pics on the voting papers i you don't care.
I work as a polling place offical in elections and you would be surprised how many ****, cocks and a-se holes you see drawn on the paper.
Patricia Said:
When did voting become compulsory for everyone over the age of 18 in Australia? (Including the Aboriginals)? We Answered:
I didn't know it was, but I am completely against compulsory voting. If people can't be bothered to vote, I don't want their idiot votes wrecking things any worse than they already do.
Shirley Said:
What are your views on lowering the voting age to 16 in Australia? We Answered:
Because 16yr old children seem uncapable of seeing the consequences of their actions. All you have to do is look at teen age pregnancies (the consequence of sex), teenage drunkardness (consequence of irresposible imbibing of alcohol) Teenage road deathe (consequence of irresponsible driving) and so on.Yes there are responsible teenagers, but hello! How many are tax payers? How many are there who understand enough about politics to adequately vote on who runs the country? Just read some of the answers already written before mine
