Before you turn 18 you are expected to enrol on the electoral role.

Anyone on this role and is over 18 (you can register at 17) MUST vote, if they do not they will get fined.

Some people don't enrol and while if they got caught could get some grief, don't usually have a problem. Most people just to the right thing. You can always donkey vote or draw rude pics on the voting papers i you don't care.

I work as a polling place offical in elections and you would be surprised how many ****, cocks and a-se holes you see drawn on the paper.

Yes there are responsible teenagers, but hello! How many are tax payers? How many are there who understand enough about politics to adequately vote on who runs the country? Just read some of the answers already written before mine
